"When misguided public opinion honors what is despicable and despises what is honorable, punishes virtue and rewards vice, encourages what is harmful and discourages what is useful, applauds falsehood and smothers truth under indifference or insult, a nation turns its back on progress and can be restored only by the terrible lessons of catastrophe." … Frederic Bastiat

Evil talks about tolerance only when it’s weak. When it gains the upper hand, its vanity always requires the destruction of the good and the innocent, because the example of good and innocent lives is an ongoing witness against it. So it always has been. So it always will be. And America has no special immunity to becoming an enemy of its own founding beliefs about human freedom, human dignity, the limited power of the state, and the sovereignty of God. – Archbishop Chaput

S&P 500 trying to hold 1280

1 comment:

  1. RAPID CHART MOVEMENTS RIGHT NOW 0225 GMT. SP500 BREAKING DOWN. OIL BELOW 100. US DOLLAR GOING UP. SILVER/GOLD GOING DOWN.

It is interesting to me that silver and gold are not going down all that fast yet. Just wonder if this is going to be a substantial correction now.

Everytime I see silver and gold take a hit like this and especially the crude oil go down I wonder why the price at the pumps doesn't go down as fast as crude. I think the pumps should be set to adjust with the crude spot prices don't you?

The setup is for taking our gold and silver down but the consumer gas and oil products stay right up there. Is that fair? Someone should do a writeup about this and enact legislation for pump prices to follow tick by tick. And we could also have ways of pumping gas back to the pumps for credit. That would be nice! :-)

Has anyone noticed URANIUM STOCKS today? I don't watch the sector but I couldn't help myself today because it seems to be heating up for some trades. Might be a good place to make some money to buy more silver and gold.

Also all stocks in Japan were down today save 1 closed ETF fund. Stocks like HMC, HIT, SNE, MKTAY, PC, TM, and CAJ, getting hit hard. This earthquake aftermath and possibly more to come would be a good discussion. Any ideas Dan? Thanks.
