I wanted to apologize for the lack of regular postings this past week. I am a bit worn out with these markets of late and am attempting to keep my sanity. I will be posting but until I can get some rest and recuperate a bit, I am going to ease off a tad. Thanks for understanding.

"When misguided public opinion honors what is despicable and despises what is honorable, punishes virtue and rewards vice, encourages what is harmful and discourages what is useful, applauds falsehood and smothers truth under indifference or insult, a nation turns its back on progress and can be restored only by the terrible lessons of catastrophe." … Frederic Bastiat
Evil talks about tolerance only when it’s weak. When it gains the upper hand, its vanity always requires the destruction of the good and the innocent, because the example of good and innocent lives is an ongoing witness against it. So it always has been. So it always will be. And America has no special immunity to becoming an enemy of its own founding beliefs about human freedom, human dignity, the limited power of the state, and the sovereignty of God. – Archbishop Chaput

ReplyDeleteTrader Dan,
ReplyDeleteYou are a guiding light; much appreciated by your daily readers for your selfless efforts to share your abundant knowledge.
In the fulness of time, you and others like yourself (Jim S, A Fakete, GATA, all CIGAs, etc) will in DEED have helped the 'unwashed masses willing to learn' to have protected themselves enough in order to rebuilt our country to be what we knew it to be, for our children, and their children.
Rest, Hug, Love, Reinvigorate; amongst you and yours.
Blessings to you Dan!!!
Dan,
ReplyDeleteWe are fortunate for any information you share! Thank you and enjoy your time off.
Rest up buddy. Have a great Memorial Day long weekend.
ReplyDeleteWishing you well Dan. Your insight has been of immense value to me over the past few months.
ReplyDeleteAs they say in Sweden Krya på dig!
Meditation is the tool I use to help me gain an alternative perspective and stop the stress of the markets getting to me too much. Could be interesting to look into !?
Relax, enjoy life, we look forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteThank you for everything Dan. I will still be checking for updates and look forward to when you are fully rested and posting regularly again. Yours is one of the blogs I read every day along with Jim and Eric.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a restful break. Thanks for taking so much time to share your insights.
ReplyDeleteDan, I can’t thank you enough for your blog. I’ve learned a lot from reading it. The fact that you are sharing your experience and knowledge with us on this blog is a blessing for all of us. There are too few credible web sites like yours where we can access information of this quality.
ReplyDeleteIn times like today, when the ones in power are systematically looking for ways to hide the truth from sight or distort reality and manipulate public opinion by using all available means, we need people like you that shed some light that help us steer our journey through the storm. With the use of the knowledge and experience of people like you, and a bit of luck, we might be able to avoid smashing on the reefs that are threatening our future.
Take a good rest, recharge your batteries, and enjoy life. But please do come back as this fight isn’t over yet. And we are getting dangerously close to some key chapters of this financial and political disaster.
Eric
My Dad always said, everyone needs time to recharge their batteries and have some quiet time! He is usually right. Dan, thanks for all you do. Hope you and yours have a peaceful, restful, recharged weekend. Take good care! Just one of your many fans :)

ReplyDeleteDon't kill yourself just to keep us informed. Take it easy and have a great extended government created weekend. And thanks for all the guidance. It really helps us outlanders.
ReplyDeleteAndy
