    Your commentary has helped me survive as a small but strong hand in gold.

    I hear web-chatter re: Penson Worldwide. I use TOS by TDAmeritrade which clears futures & forex thru Penson.

    I want to stay in this game. Where can I trade without worrying about a sudden MF event locking up my account because my clearing firm is flaky?

    Are you willing to say where you trade? Or if not, is there a reliable way to measure the relative safety of one brokerage/clearinghouse vs. another?
