"When misguided public opinion honors what is despicable and despises what is honorable, punishes virtue and rewards vice, encourages what is harmful and discourages what is useful, applauds falsehood and smothers truth under indifference or insult, a nation turns its back on progress and can be restored only by the terrible lessons of catastrophe." … Frederic Bastiat

Evil talks about tolerance only when it’s weak. When it gains the upper hand, its vanity always requires the destruction of the good and the innocent, because the example of good and innocent lives is an ongoing witness against it. So it always has been. So it always will be. And America has no special immunity to becoming an enemy of its own founding beliefs about human freedom, human dignity, the limited power of the state, and the sovereignty of God. – Archbishop Chaput

Yen Gold knocking on the door of its all time High

  1. Gartman just said he wants to own gold in yen terms.

    Is this good?

  2. Gartman has sold more troughs and bought more peaks in gold than anyone in the world!

  3. I guess you can safely say Gartman has a "yen" for gold..HA HA HAH!

  4. I am not disagreeing with Gartman. Yen gold has been a good place to be for a long time now. It's just that he will have this view now, maybe make a percentage point or two, close his position, miss the next 10% up move. Then he'll short and make 1%, then cover his short. Then he'll miss the next 5% up move, after which he'll come in again and capture the last couple of % of the move. I've seen him doing it for years.

He is a shameless self-promoter, not a good trader. Go ahead and get yourself a free multi-month subscription to his newsletter. I bet you won't be able to stomach his tortured English grammar, let alone his flip-flopping trade ideas. Stick with Trader Dan and Turd Ferguson if you want good technical and fundamental analysis of the PMs.
