Do You Want to Stop Obamacare in your State?
Those of you who are opposed to this abomination and wish to prevent the destruction of what is left of our Republic, please read the following article. If you are fortunate enough to live in a red state, there is still a chance to see the states stop this thing dead in its tracks.
Please, please, pick up the phone and call your Governor's office and urge them to say NO to setting up the state run exchange. If the states refuse to implement this thing, it will wither and die on the vine.
This is how the States are able to stand on the Tenth Amendment and refuse to comply with a power grab by Leviathan on the Potomac.

We all understand that elections have consequences and that there are certain issues which are ceded with an electoral loss. Obamacare is not one of them.
If Obamacare is allowed to survive, then our Constitution has no meaning and our Republic is finished. It will engender a takeover of 1/6 of our economy, create permanent dependency, induce unsustainable inflationary pressure on the cost of healthcare and health insurance, and saddle the next generation with crippling debt. Every intervention, program, and mandate prescribed under the 2010 healthcare law, if left intact, will limit freedom, increase insurance premiums, create more dependency, and lead to rationed care.
What you are suggesting might sound like a good idea, but the law actually gives the feds even more power if a state does not implement the exchange. In effect, the feds will be able to setup a federal exchange that will serve the citizens of all states which dont implement their own. In my view this will pave the way for a "public option" on that exchange and will kill private healthcare in this country.

DeleteThey already have such a thing - it is called Medicare/Medicaid.
If the states are foolish enough to fall for the bait and switch argument and set up their own exchanges, in the out years, the costs will fall squarely on their shoulders because the money comes out of the Medicare/Medicaid budget to fund Obamacare.
Dan said, "there are certain issues which are ceded with an electoral loss. ... If Obamacare is allowed to survive, then our Constitution has no meaning and our Republic is finished."
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the same would have happened with Romney. Recall Romney said he would "repeal and REPLACE", not just repeal. Romney is a big government believer - as Governor of Mass., he signed a gun control bill and his own Romneycare health care takeover. And Romney bragged about doing both!
Anyone who though voting for Romney would undo nationalized medicine was ignoring Romney's clear voting record and his recent promise to "repeal and replace".
Romneycare like Obamacare "will engender a takeover of 1/6 of our economy, create permanent dependency, induce unsustainable inflationary pressure on the cost of healthcare and health insurance, and saddle the next generation with crippling debt."
The real option was to get involved early and help Ron Paul through the primaries. After the GOP cheated and stole delegates at the RNC in August, the next step was to support and vote for Gary Johnson. Did anyone here beside me take these actions?
I know it is a bitter pill to take when we realize the GOP and even the NRA sold us out. That is what they did.
Your gonna have to prove you are gay in order to get obamacare
ReplyDeleteMy family's health care premiums with my HMO have risen on average 13% a year for the last 5 years, effectively doubling. Of course it is unsustainable for me. So what is the solution and why should I hate Obamacare? Shouldn't I get something for my tax dollars (of which I pay quite a bit) besides giving free money to Israel, TSA groping, and a bloated military?
ReplyDeleteI think someone peed in that Kool-aid but if you want, drink up! ....
