not directly related to these charts, but...Hi Dan,<br /><br />not directly related to these charts, but: <br /><br />you often link silver to the CCI basket, and note it's dual personality as a both a semi-monetary metal, and as a commodity, but if I am not mistaken, you link it more to the latter.<br /><br />I closely follow the gold:silver ratio as I do trade it.<br /><br />Although through the medium and long term, that ratio is all over the place, it is usually quite a stable ratio in the short term, in other words, too tight for me to trade for weeks on end until there is a step change. <br /><br />So, the correlation to gold in the short term is very strong, e.g. we seem to have been at 51.x now for over a week or so, regardless the volatility in the metals intraday during that period.<br /><br />And of course, silver has its own dynamics which can lead it to do its own thing from time to time, like in April 2011.<br /><br />If there are any updated TA or market insights into this GSR ratio, these will always be much appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks for a great blog, I always read it.Byzantiumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03988230488277382551noreply@blogger.com
